Russia's leading independent polling organisation. It conducts regular surveys on public opinion, consumer confidence, attitudes to the war in Ukraine and support for Vladimir Putin. Consumer confidence remains near an all-time high according to Levada data, even as the majority of Russians tell Levada they want the war to end. In December 2025 a majority said they paid little or no attention to how the war was progressing. An October 2024 survey found 40% of Russians would approve of a family member or close friend signing a military contract; 88% approved of contract soldiers receiving money and benefits for going to war "instead of us". In a March 2026 poll conducted with Novaya Gazeta, three-quarters of respondents chose "tiredness of war" to describe the national mood.
