Christiana Figueres is a Costa Rican diplomat who served as executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. In that role she led the negotiations that produced the Paris agreement in 2015, in which 195 countries committed to limit global heating. She co-hosts the "Outrage + Optimism" podcast on climate change.
