Former director of the FBI, fired by Donald Trump in 2017 for investigating Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election. Mr Trump called him "one of the worst human beings this Country has ever been exposed to".
In 2025 Mr Comey was indicted on charges of making false statements to a Senate committee; he denies the charges. An FBI agent who refused to stage a perp walk of the former director was reportedly suspended.
