A member of Hong Kong's Legislative Council and its Executive Council. She leads the New People's Party. She has argued that it is time to stop benchmarking Hong Kong against the political model it had in 1997, calling the multiparty system that Britain left behind a case of demagoguery and dysfunction. She cites Dubai as evidence that Western-style democracy is not needed to be a financial hub, and sees the Middle East as offering both growing markets and glimpses of a new world order.
Ahead of Hong Kong's December 2025 Legislative Council elections, her New People's Party fielded eight candidates.
