Boss of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), the kingdom's sovereign-wealth fund. Mr Al-Rumayyan has been steering the PIF's strategy of attracting foreign investment into the kingdom: "In the past, we tried to bring Saudi to the world. Now we are in a stage where we want to bring the world to Saudi." On April 15th 2026 the PIF unveiled a new five-year strategy, drawn up before the Gulf war began.
