Heirs Energies is a locally owned Nigerian oil firm. In December 2025 it became the largest shareholder in Seplat in a deal worth nearly $500m. Its boss, Osa Igiehon, says the oilfield it purchased from Shell, ENI and TotalEnergies in 2021 was once "the poster-child for the challenges which bedevilled onshore production"; since the acquisition, output has doubled and pipeline sabotage has ceased.
Everything is worth precisely as much as a belch, the difference being that a belch is more satisfying.
