A popular centrist former Israeli general who has set up his own party. He has been rising in the polls ahead of Israel's next election. After Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid merged their parties into "Together" on April 26th 2026, Eisenkot became the most likely candidate to join their bloc as a third partner. His decision is expected to determine the course of the race against Binyamin Netanyahu. He has been reluctant to recognise Bennett as the opposition's standard-bearer.
