New York City official who, as a deputy commissioner of sanitation from 2023, spearheaded a strict, data-driven programme to contain rubbish and fight the city's rat infestation. Under the programme, known as "containerisation", 70% of buildings in the city—including all smaller ones and commercial premises—are now obliged to use rat-resistant bins with lids. A pilot in Hamilton Heights, in West Harlem, yielded good results. Reported monthly rat sightings have been dropping. Ms Tisch later became the NYPD's top cop. She resigned from her role as rat tsar with no explanation.
I'm personally quite happy with one stable release every two years, and am of the opinion that trying to release more will mean we'll have to rename the distro from "stable" to "wobbly".
