Tom Watson is a Labour politician who sits in the House of Lords. In the 2010s, as an influential backbencher in Britain's House of Commons, he accused ageing politicians of being in a paedophile ring. He was dubbed the "nonce finder general" by the Daily Mail. The accusations turned out to be nonsense. He later became deputy leader of the Labour Party and was ennobled, making an apology of sorts in the Lords.
